Dr. Gordon Stabley is from Paddock Lake, Wisconsin. He received degrees in Biomedical Science and Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, before accepting the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship Program for the United States Air Force and starting Dental School at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, he completed a 1 year Dental Residency and was a General Dentist for 3 years at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas. During his time as a general dentist, his passion for surgery was ignited, leading him to accept the rigorous 4 year Oral Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Travis AFB, California, which he completed in 2019.
Following residency, Dr. Stabley was an attending surgeon at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana for 4 years, where he practiced full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with an emphasis on sedation, wisdom teeth extraction, single and full arch implant reconstruction, and Orthognathic surgery for skeletal deformity and sleep apnea.
He served as training director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, and was an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the Uniformed Services University of Health Science (UHUHS). Dr. Stabley also served as lead dental officer of Delta Wellness 2021, a 2 week joint-service Individual Readiness Training exercise with hands-on medical treatment of the underserved community. Dr. Stabley is Board-Certified with the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, has multiple certifications, and is a member of many state and national societies.
Following his separation from the Air Force in 2023, Dr. Stabley moved to Arizona and was the sole surgeon for Western Dental and Orthodontics in Phoenix and Tucson. Dr. Stabley is excited to join the Southwest Oral Surgery team, with a promise to provide evidence-based therapy and long-lasting treatment to his patients.
In his free time, Dr. Stabley enjoys Olympic weightlifting, keeping his plants alive, watching the
Wisconsin Badgers, Formula 1 racing, and visiting local restaurants with family and friends.
